Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has hit the headlines for a less-than-desirable reason after an off-putting video in the stands went viral.
The American sports mogul who also co-owns the LA Dodgers, was seen picking his nose while taking in an MLB season opener between his team and the San Diego Padres over in South Korea.
While absorbed in the game from the stands of Seoul City, Boehly seemed to have forgotten about the cameras that were covering the game. The clip first appeared on X, where a user captioned his act as: «My man with the double booger meal at Padres Dodgers game lol.»
Baseball fans had quite a laugh at him, with one even joyfully saying: «The double booger meal probably cost $19.87 at Dodger Stadium,» while others were taken aback by the gross act with comments like: «This is as disturbing as it is funny. I guess the stadium food wasn't to his liking.»
With more than 753k views on X so far, everyone seems to be talking about the unexpected shock during the campaign's opening match. A fan witnessed the act on coverage saying, «Damn that's beyond gross!»
Despite a surprising moment during the event, the trip to South Korea turned out to be quite successful for the businessman as his Los Angeles team won 5-2 on Wednesday. However, the Dodgers were quickly brought back down to earth with a 15-11 loss the next day, reports the Mirror.
Meanwhile, back in London, it seems that Boehly is still on the minds of Chelsea fans as they continue to express their dissatisfaction with Clearlake's nearly two-year reign. Despite spending over £1 billion on transfers, the Blues are currently set to finish mid-table in the Premier League for the second consecutive season.
