Chelsea starlet among world's most promising players with Jude Bellingham top
Chelsea supporters may not have a lot to shout about at present but the future is looking more promising, with midfielder Kendry Paez named among the most promising Under-21 attacking midfielders in the world
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham tops the list created by CIES Football Observatory. The 20-year-old has had a fantastic season since moving to Spain from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
Bellingham has netted 20 goals and set up nine more for the Spanish giants in 31 games., leading to CIES giving him a score of X2.18. The ranking is based on data from the past 365 days and includes players who play in the same position and meet the age criteria.
CIES ranked Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz as the second most promising young attacking midfielder, with Bilal El Khannouss of Genk coming third.
The top Premier League player on the list is Brighton's Facundo Buonanotte, who is fourth. In fifth place is 16-year-old Kendry Paez, who will move to Chelsea from Independiente in 2025. The Ecuadorian youngster trained with Mauricio Pochettino's first team ahead of the Carabao Cup final last month, but won't officially join until after turning 18 in May of next year.

Lyon's Malick Fofana is sixth, followed by RB Salzburg's Oscar Gloukh. Yiannis Konstantelias of PAOK is eighth, Palmeiras' Luis Guilherme is ninth and Ajax's Kristian Hlynsson completes the top ten.
