Now, three new names have emerged as options for the Blues. According to the Mail, the west Londoners are weighing up a move for Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe. The report also added that Barcelona duo Raphinha and Ferran Torres are on the radar of the club.
Lukaku loan exit
Chelsea finally look to have solved the Romelu Lukaku saga - at least for the next 12 months - with the striker set for a loan move to AS Roma.
Talks were held over the last few days now an agreement in principle has been met which will see Chelsea receive an £8million straight loan fee. Mauricio Pochettino had already banished the Belgium international from training and now he looks set to leave the club again on a temporary basis.
Lukaku will have two years remaining on his contract and Italian sources claim he will fly to Rome to complete his medical on Tuesday afternoon.
The Telegraph have also revealed that Chelsea have also written a release clause of £37m into Lukaku’s new contract variation, which they believe sets the price for him next summer should the 30-year-old do well enough at Roma for a club to try to sign him permanently.
