Chicharito Hernandez is no longer in LA Galaxy's plans, according to Fernando Cevallos of Fox Sports, and the same journalist assured that because of this and because of the complicated moment at Chivas, he could return to the team where he started his professional career.
However, there are also rumours that place him with one of the teams from Monterrey, Rayados de Monterrey.
The Mexican is one of the highest paid players in MLS, with a salary of six million dollars a year, equivalent to almost 110 million pesos.
Should he return to the Mexican league, it will have to be a team that can pay for his services.
The knee injury he suffered in MLS in June this year will keep him off the field until at least February.
He had to undergo surgery for a torn cruciate ligament after a bad step in the Galaxy's match against Real Salt Lake during the Open Cup.
«We'll see with who, but I see myself playing next year,» the striker said.
He has shared his recovery journey on social media, including videos of his workouts and medical updates.
«The recovery is going very well. In two or three months I'll be playing again,» he said.
