Chido Obi-Martin follows Bukayo Saka with latest career move ahead of first Arsenal contract

Arsenal's young sensation Chido Obi-Martin is following in the footsteps of Bukayo Saka as he prepares to sign his first professional contract.

The starlet has joined the Elite Project Group agency, which represents top players such as Arsenal's own Saka and Manchester United's Jadon Sancho,reports the Standard.

Obi-Martin has beenturning heads with his performances for Arsenal's youth teams, most recently bagging seven goals in a 9-0 win for the Gunners' U18s last weekend.

The 16-year-old striker has had a remarkable season, scoring 28 goals in just 22 games, including 24 in his last seven matches. Naturally, he's being tipped for a bright future and will begin scholarship terms with Arsenal this summer.

This agreement will run for two years, but come November when he turns 17, Arsenal can offer Obi-Martin his first professional contract.

With clubs from around Europe, including Ajax and Borussia Dortmund, scouting the young striker, Arsenal will be eager to secure his services. While the Gunners are battling for the Premier League title this season, nurturing and promoting young talent remains a key part of their strategy under manager Mikel Arteta.
