Chris Wilder makes Arsenal Premier League title feelings clear in private Liverpool message
Chris Wilder has revealed which team he hopes will lift the Premier League title after Sheffield United fell to a 3-1 defeat at Liverpool. The Blades were on course for a shock point at Anfield after Conor Bradley awarded the visitors the equaliser to cancel out Darwin Nunez's opener.
Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo then turned the Reds' fortunes around. The result saw the Reds return to the top of the table and move two points clear of Arsenal in second and three ahead of Manchester City.
As for Sheffield, they stay rock bottom and are destined for the Championship. While Wilder was disappointed with the result, he hopes the Reds go on to win the Premier League in Jurgen Klopp's final season in charge.
As he walked through the mixed zone, he declared to a member of Liverpool staff: «I hope you win it – I mean that.»
During his press-conference, he said: «Playing at Anfield in front of 60,000 going into the last 10 games of the season, it doesn't come more difficult for anyone, especially Sheffield United and the gulf between the two clubs.
