Liverpool produced one of the most remarkable final performances in their history to beat Chelsea and win the League Cup on Sunday.
An 118th-minute header from Virgil van Dijk earned the injury-ravaged Reds an incredible 1-0 victory despite ending with 13 senior players out injured and a host of Academy players on the pitch. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s men have won the first part of a possible quadruple and claimed a record 10th League Cup for the club.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 120-plus minutes at Wembley.

Nunez loses it
A late winner will always be greeted with significant joy. But fair to say Van Dijk's dramatic extra-time header caused an explosion of ecstasy the likes of which can rarely have been seen at Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp held his arms out wide in a mixture of delight and disbelief before being engulfed by his coaching staff and players from the dugout, Harvey Elliott simply collapsed on the pitch in exhaustion while the Reds' many injured players hobbled and limped their way up and down steps with varying degrees of success.
Nobody, though, could compete with Darwin Nunez, who came from around six rows back to barge his way past team-mates - almost knocking over a crutch-bound Curtis Jones in the process - before leaping two barriers like a thoroughbred horse and then grabbing whoever was nearby for a massive hug. Even when he's not playing, Darwin gotta Darwin.
