Crystal Palace are appointing Dr Imtiaz Ahmad from Queens Park Rangers as their new head of sports medicine.
The Eagles have been searching for a new head of department to replace outgoing Dr Zaf Iqbal, who is joining Arsenal ahead of next season.
And Dr Ahmad will be the Eagles’ next lead practitioner following an extensive search.
Ahmad was appointed QPR club doctor in November 2016 before being appointed to the role of head of medicine two years later.
He was promoted into the position head of medicine and performance in June 2022.
Iqbal will replace Gary O’Driscoll, who has joined Manchester United, after spending nearly eight years at Selhurst Park.
Meanwhile, Palace academy scout Ade Adeniran has held talks with Millwall over a more senior role within their youth recruitment set-up.
