Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping to continue the momentum his side built from their 2-0 win over Sheffield United yesterday afternoon at Stamford Bridge as they head into a Carabao Cup quarter-final tie against Newcastle United.
The Blues will be without a few of their key stars, though, including left-back Marc Cucurella who missed out on the win over the Blades with an ankle problem he suffered in training. The Chelsea star leaves just one traditional left-back option in the form of Ian Maatsen, although Levi Colwill has tended to play there since Pochettino's arrival.
Elsewhere, there could be an imminent plan for Reece James' recovery programme as the club captain looks to heal from hiss hamstring issue he picked up against Everton over a week ago. Surgery hasn't yet been ruled out for the right-back and it could be at least a few months out for the star.

The left-back provided an update on his injury via social media last night, with two photos showing off the cast on his left ankle as well as the star now walking on crutches as he recovers from the ankle injury he suffered earlier this week in training.
