Teen freak Nestory Irankunda is set to break records with his monster move to Bayern Munich — and Australia might still be getting short-changed.
The 17-year-old Adelaide United talent was on Friday night linked to a bombshell move to the German giant.

Renowned football reporter Fabrizio Romano first reported the Bundesliga club is “closing in on (a) deal” to sign Irankunda.
Romano reported Irankunda’s fee with Bayern had been “verbally agreed”, with the deal worth just over $5.6 million fixed, plus “add-ons”, foxsports.com.au reports.
Irankunda had been linked to a Bayern Munich move in May this year — but this time the deal is going through.
The wild transfer fee would shatter the record for the most expensive international move made by an Aussie, — set earlier this year, when Marco Tilio moved from Melbourne City to Celtic in a deal reported to be worth $2.9 million.
Irankunda was selected in Graham Arnold’s Socceroos squad earlier this year, but is yet to make his international debut for Australia.
The winger has chosen to represent Australia. He was born in Tanzania in a refugee camp and moved to Australia when he was just three-months old as his family fled Burundi’s civil war.
Australian football commentators have always known he was a special talent and it was just a matter of time before he was snapped up by a European club. Adelaide United coach Carl Veart said last month it was certain to be Irankunda’s final season in the A-League before he made his move overseas.
