With 1-4 from Oisin Doherty Derry eased their way past Cavan on Wednesday night to book their semi-final spot.
The reward is a trip to Donegal who were handed a home draw after topping their section.
Cavan were two points ahead after seven minutes before Derry hit five points on the bounce to take control.
Doherty, Ruairi Forbes and skipper Patrick McGurk were all on target before Niall O’Donnell added scores for a Derry 0-8 to 0-4 interval lead.
It was a performance built around James Murray’s excellent marking job on Darragh Lovett.
Daire Madden and Cian Keaney did manage scores for Cavan but it was Derry who had the cutting edge.
Ryan McNicholl missed a goal before half time before having another saved on the line by Jensen Tynan after the break.
Derry’s first score of the second half was the crucial one, Doherty’s goal after Ciaran Chambers saw his shot come off the bar.
With Cavan unable to translate a spell of dominance into scoring chances, there was no catching Derry.
