It was all smiles around the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday as Liverpool returned to training after six days off.
The Reds' players had been promised they would be granted nearly a week of rest and recuperation during the break in play by Jurgen Klopp following a punishing period that saw them play 13 times between late November and early January.
There's a reason Klopp described the typically hectic December schedule as "the toughest period in world football" at the start of last month and the spring in the step of the players as they made their Anfield exit after the Carabao Cup first-leg semi-final win over Fulham was noticeable as they got set for a few days of much-needed downtime and the chance for a holiday with their loved ones.
"My English is not good enough to put that in words," Klopp said when asked how much he was looking forward to the break that was afforded to him and his staff. It's believed the Reds boss spent some time in Dubai, recharging ahead of another busy period.

Captain Virgil van Dijk was also able to spend some time with his family out in Dubai as he soaked up the sun and made use of the Park Hyatt Golf and Yacht Club facilities while enjoying dinner with Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne and Formula 1 star Pierre Gasly. Alexis Mac Allister was also in the region with his partner, Ailen Cova.
