Liverpool have looked like a different entity from the team that staggered over the finish line to finish fifth in the the Premier League last season and without a trophy to their name. With nine games gone of this season, they sit just three points off top spot.

And Szoboszlai didn't mince his words when he clearly outlined his vision for his debut season on Merseyside.

"Everything, simple. Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League (and) Carabao Cup (are all achievable)," he said in a short video posted by BBC Match of the Day.

"Why not? You have to think in this way because if you think, 'we should be in second place' who cares about the second place?"
