Duncan Ferguson showed off his pigeon loft in his latest touching message of support for a fan.
Footage circulating online shows the Everton hero delivering his backing to a supporter of another of his old clubs, Rangers, after he suffered health issues while playing football.
Ferguson, who has long been a supporter of fan causes, self-recorded the video in his home on Merseyside.

He said: “I hope you’re OK mate. Unbelievable isn’t it, one minute you are fit as a fiddle, the next minute you are no well. I am sure you are in very good hands son, and I’m sure you will be better very soon and you will be fighting fit and you will back playing in no time mate so I am just sending you all my love and best wishes.”
Ferguson, a fan of pigeon racing since his childhood, then paused and asked the supporter whether he would like to see his pigeon loft before reversing the camera and showing his garden set-up. He finished the message by adding: “You will be better soon and running up and down that pitch like a good ‘un.”
Ferguson’s willingness to show support for good causes - particularly when approached for help and encouragement by supporters of his former clubs - has earned him enduring respect within the football community.
The 52-year-old is currently the manager of Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, where he has Everton youngster Sean McAllister on loan. McAllister scored in the club’s win at Morton on Saturday.
