Eden Hazard gave his reaction to Lille naming their training ground in name, by hilariously mocking his reputation.
The Belgium star, who retired from football last October, has been honoured by his former club by having an area of the training ground at Domaine de Luchin dedicated to him.
Lille shared footage of the unveiling on social media over the weekend, and during the event, Hazard spoke about the club's tribute to their former star.
Taking to the podium, the 33-year-old, revealed he only had one thing to say before humorously poking fun at himself.
He said: 'I only have one thing to say. This is the Eden Hazard pitch. So no gym, no running. Only playing football and breaking ankles'
The quip is in reference to suggestions over Hazard's weight during his time at Real Madrid, where he was often accused of being unfit and overweight.
He also mocked the struggles he had with injuries in his career, most notably to his ankles.
The Belgian is widely regarded as one of Lille's greatest-ever players, and a stone monument that has been placed next to the training aground, as well as presenting a plaque to their former star.
Hazard started his career at Lille and made 194 appearances for the club, scoring 53 goals before leaving for Chelsea in 2012.
He helped the club famously win the Ligue 1 title in 2011, before his £32 million move to Stamford Bridge, where he became one of the era's most exciting Premier League stars.
At Chelsea Hazard would win two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, the FA Cup and League Cup, as well as being named Footballer of the Year in 2015.
He left the Blues for Madrid in 2019, but was never able to recapture the same form in Spain, with fingers pointed at his weight and fitness.
