Kobbie Mainoo said that he's found this season 'enjoyable' and 'tough' when asked for his thoughts on his impressive breakthrough into Manchester United's first team.
Mainoo was the breakout star of pre-season last summer, but he cruelly sustained an ankle injury in a friendly against Real Madrid which delayed his progress.
The youngster returned from that injury in October and was carefully handled by United. Mainoo made a handful of appearances for the Under-21s as he got back up to speed and was finally given significant first-team opportunities a month later in November.
Since then, Mainoo has established himself in the first team and he's in contention to win the club's Player of the Season award, despite missing the first half of the campaign.

The 18-year-old has gone from strength to strength and made his debut for England during the international break, which means he could make the Three Lions' Euro 2024 squad.
It's been a memorable six months for Mainoo. His goal against Liverpool on Sunday was an excellent strike and there was a wide smile across his face when he spoke to MUTV.
When asked to summarise how he's found this season, he said: "Enjoyable, tough, but I'm playing for my boyhood club on the biggest stage, so to be able to adapt, for these fans and everything around it, I can't complain.
"To score my first goal at Old Trafford is unbelievable, but ultimately we didn't come away with the three points, so it doesn't leave the best taste in my mouth.
