Erling Haaland's admiration for one Liverpool player in particular has been reinforced after the Manchester City striker shared his Ultimate Team on popular football video game EA FC 24 - formerly known as FIFA.
The City forward has put together a squad full of world-class players, both past and present, and seemingly shares the same love for EA FC as Liverpool star Diogo Jota, who spends much of his spare time competing online against opponents.
One member of the Reds' current first-team squad has made it into Haaland's starting-eleven and is none other than Virgil van Dijk. Dominik Szoboszlai, who was team-mates with the Norwegian at Reb Bull Salzburg, is on the bench alongside the likes of Ronaldo Nazario, Pele and Wayne Rooney.
Van Dijk getting the nod at centre-back should come as little surprise given how highly Haaland thinks of the Dutchman, as has been made clear by past comments in the media by City's No.9 regarding how strong the 2019 Champions League winner is.

Speaking to ESPN after facing off against the Reds' captain during the Champions League group stages of the 2019/20 season while at Red Bull Salzburg, he said: "You know how tall he is, how strong he is and how fast he is and also the timing is crazy. I don't think I won one duel against him because he's a physical monster."
Haaland has since gone head-to-head with Van Dijk in the Premier League and retained this high opinion of the former Southampton star when asked to pick the toughest defender faced during his debut campaign in England.
