A third-round replay will now be required. But it looks like Calvert-Lewin - unless the club launches an appeal - and possibly McNeil may miss that match at Goodison Park.

Brought in for his first game of the season, he did well, palming away an Eberechi Eze shot from outside the area when the player had time to pick his spot early in the second half and then getting down well to his left to deny him again deep into stoppage time, his handling looked sure despite the wet conditions.

Starting just his second game of the season the captain was a solid competitor in defence while offering willing support going forward, always battling and cajoling his team-mates.
Vitalii Mykolenko 7
No dream start for him like on his last visit to Selhurst Park in November when he scored within a minute but he maintained the increased level of consistency we’ve come to enjoy from him this term, clearing a dangerous ball across the face of goal from Jeffrey Schlupp on his weaker right foot late in the first half.
