Blues fans mocked their neighbours by chanting "you lost the league at Goodison Park" after goals from Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin either side of the break gave Sean Dyche’s side a richly-deserved three points to hand defeat to Jurgen Klopp on his last trip across Stanley Park.

Superb cool showing under pressure, he made a couple of smart saves with his legs to deny Nunez and Diaz then a low block to keep out Robertson then after the break he tipped over the bar to deny Elliott and palmed away a stoppage time effort from Salah.

One of his most-impressive ever displays at full-back, he made some crucial interceptions, most notably to meet a Salah cross before Nunez and then put a big challenge in on the Uruguayan while going close with a back post header then went wide.
Vitalii Mykolenko 9
Carried on from his impressive marshalling of Mohamed Salah at Anfield by keeping Liverpool’s main danger man quiet but picked up an injury late in the first half and was withdrawn at the interval and while eagle-eyed readers might note he ‘only’ had an 8 at that point, he has to be bumped up with everyone else.
