Yeah he’s fine. He trained this morning and he’ll be available tomorrow.
How pleased were you with the performance on Weds and how do you feel playing a direct rival on Saturday? Is it a test?
Every game is a test. Even though we got a good result the other day there are things we must do better than we did in the game. We took a lot of positives from. We got fitness-wise the outcome that we wanted and we shared the minutes with a lot of players which was really good. Tomorrow will be different. We’re against a team who are very used to playing together and they are big rivals for us in the Premier League. It will be amazing to play in this stadium. Full house, incredible atmosphere and a really good test to see where we are.
At what point did you know you the Premier League was gone last season?
When mathematically it was impossible. Till that point we always believed. There were moments where it was in our hands and we lost it. Until it’s over mathematically you should never give up because it’s football.
Is Partey in your plans for next season?
Without a question of a doubt. Thomas is a super important player for us and for me. I want him to be part of the team. That’s for sure.
What’s the future for Nicolas Pepe?
At the moment he’s recovering from an injury. That’s why he’s not here. He had a spell on loan and we wanted to get more from that loan spell. We’ll have to see when he comes back. Have a chat with him. Understand what he plans are and make a decision.
