Former Liverpool man Andy Carroll hit the headlines in France this weekend after scoring an unbelievable lob from 45 yards for new club Amiens.
After leaving boyhood side Newcastle United for the Reds in January 2011 - a club-record £35m move he has since admitted he hoped he'd fail the medical for - it is safe to say it didn't work out for Carroll.
He made 58 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 11 goals and eventually calling time on the partnership by permanently leaving for West Ham in 2013. He has since had spells back at Newcastle in the Premier League, as well as West Brom and Reading further down the divisions.
The now 34-year-old surprisingly signed for Ligue 2 Amiens in the summer after triggering a release clause in his deal with the Royals, and his second goal in as many games was a shock to all (watch below)

In the first match after the recent international break, Samuel Ntamack put hosts Aneccy ahead from the penalty, however Carroll popped up with the equaliser by running onto the loose ball and firing an almighty looping effort over the goalkeeper from just inside the opposition's half.
It bounced on the goalline and into the roof of the net as the No.99 and his team-mates rushed towards the corner flag in celebration.
Ultimately his strike from distance was the final one of the afternoon, helping his club maintain their mid-table 10th position with 11 matches played.
