Jadon Sancho has become the latest player to fall out with Erik ten Hag after his furious statement on social media.
Sancho reacted to Ten Hag’s comments on why he was left out of Manchester United’s squad for their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal earlier this month.
The Man United boss said Sancho wasn’t selected due to his ‘performance in training’ and this led to a dispute between the pair.
In reaction to his manager’s reasoning, the winger posted on social media saying: «Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue.
»I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!
«All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.
»I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!"
The feud failed to dissipate over the international break, with United since announcing that Sancho would be training away from the first-team amid a 'discipline issue.'
And this isn’t the first time Ten Hag has fallen out with one of his players, with Sancho already the third Man United star to have been involved in a public bust-up with the Dutchman.
