Jonny Parsons has rolled back on his demand to face Paddy Pimblett in the aftermath of his victory at UFC London.
The 31-year-old recorded a TKO win over Danny Roberts on Saturday, much to the disappointment of the home crowd. ‘The Sluggernaut’ successfully managed to stop Roberts in the second round of his UFC debut and was quick to call out ‘The Baddy’, when presented with a microphone in his post-fight interview.
Despite fighting in the weight divison above, Parsons turned his attention to the popular lightweight: “Hey Paddy, do you want to slug or not? I’m ‘The Sluggernaut,’ let’s go.” However, he subsequently confessed that he never intended to mention Pimblett’s name.
Bellator superstar Michael ‘Venom’ Page has revealed he is currently a free agent and was captured in the crowd at UFC London, with executive Dave Shaw admitting that the Londoner would be an “exciting” addition. ‘MVP’ is a fan favourite and Parsons would love to be the fighter to welcome the 36-year-old to the UFC.

“To be 100% honest, I’ve got the legend Michael Bisping [to my side], he just put the mic in front of me and I kind of choked,” Parsons admitted. “Maybe, at some point, I’ll try to make my way to lightweight but who I really wanted to call out - I heard MVP is a free agent and there was talks of him coming to the UFC to fight and I’d really like to come back to London.
“I don’t think MVP can hang with the wrestlers in this division so I would love to give the fans here in London at the O2 a freaking awesome striking fight. I think me and MVP could put on a show for the crowd.”
