Fiorentina officials were ‘disappointed’ to see Sofyan Amrabat leave for Manchester United in the manner he did, according to reports.
Amrabat arrived on deadline day in a loan deal that has cost United €10million and contains a buy-out clause of €20m plus 5m in add-ons. He has not been able to register in time for Sunday’s clash with Arsenal meaning he could make his debut against Brighton in a fortnight’s time.
Upon signing for the club, Amrabat said: “It is a huge honour to become a Manchester United player. I’ve had to be patient for this moment but I’m someone who always listens to my heart and now I am representing the club of my dreams.
“I am a passionate player; I want to bring that energy to the squad, and I will put everything into every action I take for the team.”

Amrabat had been left out of Fiorentina’s squads in their opening fixtures as he tied to force through an exit. According to Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Fiorentina staff were left unimpressed by the player’s conduct.
It claims the player had separated himself from the main group, something that did not impress his teammates either.
Meanwhile, former United player Juan Mata is set to join Japanese side Vissel Kobe, as per the Athletic. The report says the Spaniard has had offers from Saudi Arabia and Dubai since being released by Galatasaray.
The 35-year-old has instead opted for a move to Asia, following in the footsteps of fellow countrymen Andreas Iniesta and David Villa who previously played for the club.
