Toney, who is still suspended amid his betting breach ban, posted an image on his Instagram stories of him watch the game on his phone.
He wrote with it: "@DeclanRice. What a game."
The 27-year-old has been a transfer target for Arsenal and has been linked with a move to the Emirates in January.

Mikel Arteta didn't provide a straight answer when asked about David Raya's struggles during Arsenal's win at Luton.
Arsenal claimed a dramatic last-gasp win at Kenilworth Road with Declan Rice's stoppage-time winner securing the the 4-3 triumph.
But Rice's heroics were only required as the Gunners found themselves 3-2 down on 57 minutes, with errors by Raya leading to two goals for Luton.
Gunners boss Arteta refused to criticise his man, although he didn't address Raya's form on Tuesday night when asked.
When asked if two of Luton's goals were gifted to them, Arteta told Amazon Prime Sport: «I am so happy with the team.»
When asked if he'd spoken to Raya, Arteta added: «I've spoken to all of them, they are jumping, they are so happy so I am a really happy manager today.»
