Sports pundit Laura Woods is at the helm of ITV's Women’s World Cup coverage this season and has years of live presenting under her belt - however, the 36-year-old admits that she's dealt with "hundreds" of embarrassing moments throughout her career. "Things like dropping coffee on people by accident when I was younger, walking into studios and making too much noise," she tells OK! She added that during her very first live broadcast, a mishap with her earpiece meant that she couldn't hear the producers telling her that she was on-air. "There was one I remember we went on air it was, it was probably my first live.
My earpiece or something dropped out so I couldn't hear when they'd come to me live," she said. "So I was waiting for [the production crew] to throw to me. And I went, 'I can't hear them.' Like I can't hear him and I was live already.
And those are the kind of moments that give you absolute nightmares." Laura revealed that there was one particular instance where a technical difficulty with microphones meant that she had to share her headpiece with former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo. "Nuno Espirito Santo came up for an interview when I was in the stands at Old Trafford. Every microphone he picked up didn’t work but we were live, so we ended up sharing my mic, which was attached to my headphone! “I would sort of push it out for him to speak and push it back in for me to speak. There’s a picture of it, it’s so funny.
