Former Premier League star Tom Huddlestone scored the winner in the Under-21 Manchester derby on Monday night.
The 37-year-old featured for Manchester United U21s as they beat rivals Man City 2-1.
Huddlestone joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2022, having previously played for Tottenham and England, and works as a player-coach.
Since his involvement within the academy, the midfielder has not been a regular starter.
Although United U21 boss Travis Binnion opted to start him in the last four matches, he made a positive impact on Monday.
Ethan Wheatley, who wasn't even born when Huddlestone made his Spurs bow in 2005, gave United the lead after 35 minutes.
Huddlestone then netted in 54 minutes as he made it 2-0, with Stephen Mfuni narrowing the deficit for Man City shortly after.
Red Devils fans were left saying the same thing after the experienced midfielder found the back of the net.
One stated: «Isn’t he like 40?»
A second added: «Starboy.»
Another wrote: «Starboy. Carrington has done it again with this Tom Huddlestone guy.»
A fourth claimed: «Tom Huddlestone is a player I think has very good potential and could be in line for a senior call up.»
Huddlestone turned out 209 times for Tottenham and made four appearances for England.
He also featured in 242 Premier League games, playing for Derby, Hull, and Wolves.
To date, he has played 22 times for United's Under-21s, as he seeks a full-time move into coaching.
