As reported by L’Équipe, Eintracht Frankfurt are set to beat RC Strasbourg Alsace to the signing of SCO Angers forward Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (18).
Bahoya has played a considerable role in leading Angers to the top of Ligue 2 this season, playing 19 times in France’s second division and scoring five goals. However, he won’t finish the season for his formative club. As reported by Le Parisien, the French forward has already bid farewell to his SCO Angers teammates and he is set to undergo a medical with Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, ahead of the expected completion of the transfer. The Bundesliga side beat Strasbourg to Bahoya’s signing, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The France U19 international is set to sign a long-term deal (until 2029, according to Sky Sports Germany) with Frankfurt, with the transfer costing up €12m, including bonuses, according to L’Équipe journalist Loic Tanzi. The base transfer fee is €8m.
