Palhinha, who joined the Cottagers in 2022, was on the verge of joining the German champions on the final day of the summer transfer window.
Although Palhinha made the trip to Germany with a view to completing a move, the deal ultimately collapsed and he subsequently returned to West London.
The 28-year-old subsequently put pen to paper on a new long-term deal, extending his contract with Fulham until June 2028 with an option for the club to extend by a further year.
Despite agreeing a new deal with the club, Palhinha continues to be linked with a transfer to Bayern ahead of the January transfer window.
With uncertainty surrounding his future, he has now addressed the failed deadline-day move and admitted that he is unsure whether a transfer to Bayern will come to fruition.
«I feel I'm content because I'm playing. I'm playing, I'm doing my job, I'm focused here,» Palhinha told the Fulham Fix podcast.
«I had the opportunity a couple of months ago when this happened, it's something that nobody can point the finger to me and say that you don't respect, it never happened because I always did my work here.
»I respect everyone, the staff, my teammates, my history with the club because I don't want to screw up what I've built here. They've given me a lot of effort.
«Of course, I don't want to screw it up. But I can't lie, of course, it's the opportunity of my life that happened. For me, if something like Bayern happens in your life, you can't think of anything else.
»In football, we are always fighting to achieve. For me, I grew up to dream of these kind of opportunities.
