Unfortunately, a mistake from Cedric Soares allowed Yorbe Vertessen to equalise with Leandro Trossard missing a great opportunity to win the game with virtually the last kick of the game.

Fellow English side Manchester United needed to beat Bayern Munich and hope that Copenhagen drew with Galatasaray, but fell to a 1-0 loss at home to the German giants, while the Danish side progressed at home. Napoli also needed to secure a positive result against Sporting Braga and did just that.
