Gary Neville is set for a surprise new gig after signing up as a DJ for a summer music festival.
The Manchester United legend is set to perform a set alongside The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess as the Kendal Calling music festival.
Neville has performed with Burgess before, playing guitar with The Charlatans in front of 150 fans at his venue, Hotel Football, back in 2015.
However, this will be very different with around 40,000 music-lovers set to attend.
Discussing the surprise collaboration, Burgess said: «I'm very excited about the prospect of DJing with Gary — he's got great taste in music.
»The last time we shared a stage was when he joined The Charlatans on guitar.
«Can't promise we'll be doing any songs together but there might be an impromptu singalong at some point.»
As you'd imagine, fans on social media have been loving the news.
One posted: «Gary Neville is doing a DJ set, take my money.»
A second said: «Gary Neville and Tim Burgess DJ set is the highlight, with a third adding: „Is that a Gary Neville DJ set I can see there?“
»Gary Neville DJ set? I’m there," added another.
A fourth joked: «If the Gary Neville DJ set is just all his 'Ooooohhh's' set to some house, I will be there.»
It's not the first time that Neville has branched out recently.
As well as his punditry duties for Sky Sports, Neville is a renowned businessman who owns a number of high-end properties in Manchester.
But after appearing on Dragons Den last week, it's clear that the former defender has more to offer than mere footballing opinions.
