Gary Neville reckons playing catch-up might suit Arsenal in this season's Premier League title race. There are only two points between Liverpool, Manchester City and the Gunners in their battle to reign supreme.
Arsenal topped the standings for large parts last campaign and boasted a healthy advantage before City not only pipped them to the title but got their hands on a historic treble as well. Pep Guardiola's star-studded team remain favourites to pick up their fourth straight Premier League trophy in second place with a game-in-hand.
On the proviso they win that, City would be on 55 points with Liverpool on 54 and Arsenal, who were rampant in victory over West Ham on Sunday afternoon, on 52 respectively. The ex-Manchester United captain told Sky Sports: «It was around this time last season where there was so much pressure on Arsenal because they were so many points clear and everybody was thinking that they were going to win the league. Now they don't have anyone looking over their shoulder.
»In fact, they're the ones doing the looking in third. That may actually be better for them."
Neville added: "They have, in the last few weeks, shown the form that put them in that position last season when they could've won the league.
