Jamie Carragher has poked fun at Erik ten Hag after comparing the Dutch manager's record at Manchester United with Gary Neville's at Valencia.
It came after Man United suffered a 2-0 defeat against West Ham on Saturday afternoon, the Red Devils' fourth game without a win in what's been a turbulent season so far.
Ten Hag's side have now fallen to eighth in the Premier League, having lost eight games so far this season - the most United have lost before Christmas than they have in any season since 1930, with pressure now mounting on the Dutch manager.
The 53-year-old was appointed as the club's manager back in April 2022, with the Dutchman having now taken charge of 88 games across two campaigns, whle also leading United to the League Cup title last season.
But today his managerial record from this season was put under the microscope by a football fan on X (formerly Twitter), who compared the Dutchman's record to Neville's slightly more favourable record during his time as Valencia boss.
'Ten Hag 23/24, 26 games, 13 losses, 33 goals, 41 goals conceded,' the X user wrote.
Neville meanwhile, managed Valencia between December 2015 and March 2016, before he was sacked after a disasterous four months in charge.
The user also wrote: 'Gary Neville at Valencia, 28 games, 11 losses, 39 goals, 38 goals conceded.'
Comparitively, Neville has played two more games, and suffered two less defeats than Ten Hag, with his team scoring six more goals and conceding three less goals than Man United this season.
And Carragher noted the favourable record and jokingly suggested that Neville should take over from Ten Hag as United boss.
