Manchester City return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon in a blockbuster fixture against Liverpool.
City played out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Chelsea last time out but came away disappointed to have only won a point. The Blues will no doubt be eager to return to winning ways against a title contender.
Pep Guardiola must have been sweating over the last fortnight after several of his top stars picked up knocks while playing for their country but there have been several pieces of good news on that front. Erling Haaland did train ahead of the game but the manager admitted the squad does have some problems.

"[Haaland] He's trained with niggles yesterday, hopefully he can train today and we will see," he said. "We have a few problems, the same as many clubs. We will see in the training session and we will see tomorrow. At 6pm I will know for sure which players I will have tomorrow. Always it's plan A."
As well as Haaland, Ederson, Nathan Ake, Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes trained this week. However, John Stones and Kevin De Bruyne are expected to remain sidelined.

There are two major selection decisions for Guardiola this week. The first is whether to embrace the chaos of Jeremy Doku or the control of Jack Grealish.
A home game would edge towards Doku, although he was shut down effectively at Stamford Bridge in a game that the manager can't have enjoyed. Doku is tempting, but Grealish would probably win out for me given he is in good form as well.
