Jamie Carragher has labelled Eden Hazard an "all-time Premier League great" after the Belgian today announced his retirement from professional football.
Hazard began his career in France with Lille before making his name in the seven years he spent in the Premier league at Chelsea. During his time in England, the 32-year-old claimed six trophies and regularly entertained supporters with his attacking style of play.
Throughout his spell with the Londoners, Hazard was frequently compared with Mohamed Salah and the debate over who was the better player during their peak has resurfaced following the former's decision to hang up his boots.
Plenty of Liverpool fans have taken to social media to point out Salah has performed at the highest level over a longer period of time than Hazard, who enjoyed moments of brilliance before seeing his career fizzle out at Real Madrid.

Weighing in on this discussion by sharing his own opinion on Chelsea's one-time talisman, Anfield legend Carragher tweeted: "Interesting seeing the takes on here regarding Eden Hazard, so here’s mine! He was the best player in the Premier League for 4 years. Won PFA young player, PFA player & FWP of the year awards. He won every trophy at Chelsea except the CL. He was in my eyes the best performer at the 2018 World cup when Belgium finished third.
