Behind what is seen in stadiums and on screens of a footballer's sporting career, there lies a personal life that is sometimes not all too rosy.
Whether it be addiction, crime, divorce or other, there are often more to some of the world's biggest stars and celebrities than immediately meets the eye when they are making hundreds of thousands of pounds running around a field.

In 2007, almost at the peak of his powers, former Arsenal star Thierry Henry was looking to somehow take his career to the next level having joined winning machine Barcelona.
It didn't take long for his personal life to get in the way, however. Having been married to Claire Merry since 2003, all seemed rosy with the couple, who had purchased a home in London and had a two-year-old daughter.
Things, however, were not. In September 2007 a divorce court judge in London granted the divorce, with Merry arguing Henry's 'unreasonable behaviour' was the reason.
The Frenchman didn't contest the grounds, and the divorce was granted as part of a batch during a one-minute hearing at the High Court's Principal Registry.
Having met when Henry and Merry starred in a TV advert for Renault, model Merry was awarded close to her requested sum of £10millon in 2008, with Henry said to be on around £130,000-a-week in Spain.
