Jordan Henderson is pushing for a return to Europe after a dreadful first six months in the Saudi Pro League with Al Ettifaq.
The 33-year-old swapped Merseyside for the Middle East in a £12million deal, but his move has not gone as planned.
He is understood to be open to leaving Saudi Arabai, either permanently or on loan, in January.
talkSPORT understands that Henderson's name has been circulated to virtually every Premier League club and Italian giants Juventus.
Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, though, have also been offered the former Liverpool captain.
The 33-year-old is determined to leave the Saudi club amid fears for his place in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.
Al-Ettifaq’s stance is that Henderson is not for sale and a loan deal would be difficult for most clubs due to his high wages.
talkSPORT's Saudi correspondent Ben Jacobs gave detailed insight into just what has gone wrong for Henderson.
Jacobs told talkSPORT Breakfast: “Al Ettifaq’s form is a factor, the climate is another aspect — but you have to ask the question if a player is going to move then they have to do their due diligence.
“Now the climate is perfect in Saudi Arabia, but when Jordan Henderson joined it was 40C and difficult to play football.
“There’s the lifestyle factor as well, although the location is preferable for that kind of thing because Bahrain is only a 10 minute drive across the border. You can have a more Western lifestyle there, for example, and have a beer.
“I suspect, talking to sources, that Jordan Henderson fears — because of Ettifaq’s form, uncertainty around Gerrard’s future, and Ian Foster taking the Plymouth job — that his Euro 2024 place is under threat.
