Glentoran star Bobby Burns is a man in demand and will have options in the summer
Coleraine will target a move for Glentoran favourite Bobby Burns in the summer.
Sunday Life Sport understands Oran Kearney’s Bannsiders are big admirers of the versatile Oval star, whose contract with the east Belfast outfit is up at the end of the season.
Glens boss Warren Feeney would like to keep the 24-year-old but there will be competition with League of Ireland, English and Scottish clubs monitoring the situation along with Coleraine.
Former Hearts ace Burns, who scored in his side’s disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Carrick on Saturday, has had serious injuries since arriving at Glentoran in 2020 but when fit he has delivered big performances and important goals, making him a hit with the fans.
With Coleraine struggling to finish in the top six this season, Burns won’t be the only high-profile Irish League player they’ll aim to snap up for next term.
