Lamine Yamal does not want to trip over the stone that stopped Pedri. The Barcelona gem said that it would not be logical to attend the Olympic Games after the European Championship in an interview for 'Mundo Deportivo'.
"It wouldn't be logical to go to both tournaments because in the end, since I've started, it's been about not being overloaded and playing too much and it wouldn't make sense to go to both. But obviously if I have to go, at the end of the day you're playing for Spain and it's a dream," he said.
Lamine Yamal also took this into account depending on Spain's progress at the big event in Germany: "It also depends on how the European Championship goes, but I think the most important thing would be to be at the European Championship."
Moreover, the winger has in mind the record of Pedri, who paid dearly for his double presence in 2021: "He's an example of what can happen because he's the only one I remember who did it."
