Jadon Sancho in line to make second debut for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday

Jadon Sancho is in line to make his second debut for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

The 23-year-old winger will travel with the team to Darmstadt after rejoining the German side on loan from Manchester United.

He was pictured taking part in his first team training session on Thursday after arriving back in Germany on Wednesday to complete his medical.

Sancho played for Dortmund from 2017 and 2021 and racked up 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances.

Dortmund boss Edin Terzic said he wants to integrate Sancho into the team as quickly as possible.

He told the club's official website: 'He turned up here yesterday with a huge smile and had a lot of fun with us. We will use the session today to decide how many minutes he has in the tank.

'He is healthy and has trained a lot in the last few weeks, both at Manchester United and individually,' said Terzic of the new signing, who last made a competitive appearance in August.

'He hasn't played for a very long time. We can't afford to rush him through so quickly that he misses training sessions or matches through injury. It will be a case of using the first few days to gain an impression and to decide how to proceed in the coming weeks.'

Wing back Ian Maatsen, 21, will also make the trip after joining on loan from Chelsea until the summer.

Terzic added: 'Ian is a technically skilful player with great pace and a great left foot. We hope that he will also settle into the group immediately and that he can use his skills to liven up our play down the left flank,' said the coach of the left-back.
