James Maddison injury update
Tottenham star James Maddison has posted an injury update on his social media following his side's 2-1 loss to Wolves on Saturday afternoon. The 26-year-old is set to miss what could be over six weeks following a blow to the ankle sustained in the 4-1 defeat on Monday.
After being selected in the England squad to play in the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers Maddison was withdrawn from the group less than 24 hours later. Spurs confirmed that he would be recovering with the club's own medical team and Ange Postecoglou then admitted that things weren't what they had seemed on the night of the knock.
"Madders, a lot worse than we thought," Postecoglou said on Friday. «He came off with the ankle injury, but the next day wasn’t great so we sent him off for a scan. So again not great for him and probably into the new year for him.»
That leaves Maddison with over a month to be sidelined and no current timeline on the cards either. Things didn't get any easier for the player or club

Tottenham hit with new suspension blow
As Ange Postecoglou welcomes back Destiny Udogie from suspension to face Aston Villa, another key player is set to miss the game. Both Udogie and Cristian Romero picked up red cards in the 4-1 London derby defeat to Chelsea with James Maddison and Micky van de Ven picking up injuries and now Yves Bissouma has picked up his fifth yellow card in the Premier League this season.
The Mali international headed into last month's clash with Luton Town on four cautions before two in that same game saw him shown a red card. As a result, he remained on four yellow cards following his one-match ban against Crystal
