Tottenham Hotspur will be itching to return to Premier League action after losing two consecutive games. Ange Postecoglou's men had started the season with eight wins from ten matches but have dropped down to fourth after defeats to Chelsea and Wolves.
The results have been compounded by the severe injury problems that have mounted at Hotspur Way. The bizarre loss to London rivals Chelsea two weeks ago saw Micky van de Ven and James Maddison forced off — ruling them out until 2024.

On Maddison, the Spurs boss added: «He got quite a significant ankle injury the other night and was sent for scans. It wasn't great, so he'll be out for a period of time, probably into the new year as well.»
This month's international break has come at the perfect time for Spurs. Fortunately, none of Postecoglou's players have picked up any additional injuries while playing for their countries.
However, captain Son Heung-min did spark a huge concern after going down injured in South Korea's win over Singapore. Fortunately, he played the remainder of the contest before insisting he was «fine» to the local media.
