Some major changes are taking place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the club plan for a brighter future under Ange Postecoglou. Making some very astute signings back in the summer with players such as Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven and James Maddison signing on the dotted line, Tottenham have been incredibly active in the winter transfer market at a time when their rivals have stood still.
Since the window opened for business at the beginning of January, Spurs have brought Timo Werner to N17 on loan for the remainder of the season and Radu Dragusin has joined on a permanent basis from Genoa. There is also the possibility that Antonio Nusa adds to the exciting talent already at the club as Spurs have held talks with Club Brugge about a potential transfer and loan back for the Norwegian international.
In terms of outgoings this month, Hugo Lloris brought the curtain down on his long association with the football club after joining LAFC and nine other players have exited on loan. Eric Dier and Ivan Perisic are two of those after joining Bayern Munich and Hajduk Split respectively, although it is clear to see that both have played their last game for Tottenham despite the temporary agreements.
Tottenham very much are planning for the years ahead and all eyes are going to be on what happens at the club in the final few days of the January window and then the summer market. As ever, it is very much a balancing act for Tottenham due to the rules in place in the Premier League when it comes to naming a 25-man squad.
