Club Brugge head coach Ronny Deila has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Antonio Nusa will leave the club, if not in the January transfer window, at the end of the season.
Spurs joined a list of admirers for the 18-year-old attacker earlier this window with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and a host of European sides all monitoring his situation.
The Norway international has scored seven goals and assisted a further four for Brugge since signing from Stabaek Fotball. Earlier this month, Tottenham held talks with the Belgian side about the prospect of a sale and loan back deal until the end of the season.
A fee of around £0million had been touted for the highly-rated teenager. Spurs have already bolstered their attacking options with the loan signing of Timo Werner but Ange Postecoglou is keen to add more long-term reinforcements as an eventual successor for captain Son Heung-min.
Talks over a deal have gone quiet in recent weeks, but with a week of the January transfer window remaining, a move to the Premier League could still yet be completed. However, Deila has insisted he doesn't know whether Nusa will leave this month.
«If it doesn't happen now, it will be this summer,» the former Celtic boss said. «The most important thing is that he stays focused and wants to get better. I think he is handling [the speculation] well, because he is still young.
