Jose Mourinho wades into Mikel Arteta vs Carragher Arsenal debate with iconic Chelsea moment

Jose Mourinho has given his own view after Arsenal were accused of over celebrating their 3-1 victory over Liverpool last week.

Gary Neville labelled Arsenal 'immature' for the team's celebrations at the Emirates Stadium, and said he felt the scenes at full-time were evidence of why Arsenal will not go on to win the Premier League this season. «I think those celebrations weren’t of a team that can win a title, they’re of a team that thought they’d be out of the title race,» Neville told Sky Sports.

Mikel Arteta claimed that his experience of winning multiple titles at Manchester City has taught him that there was no correlation between perceived over-celebration and immaturity. «If I think when I have won Premier Leagues somewhere else, the answer would be: ‘big no,'» he said in response.

The Spaniard insisted that the celebrations was a sign of the unity at the club rather than a case of being caught up in the moment. «That’s something that happens because they have a relationship that comes from what they do every day here at the training ground,» he said this week.

«People are entitled to have their opinions when you do something publicly. Some of them will be positive, some of them not so positive. Our job is to accept all of that and then behave the way you think is the right way to behave and make sure we don’t lose that.»
