Jurgen Klopp has moved to clarify comments made in midweek about Liverpool fans at Anfield, insisting he was not seeking to criticise the home support.
The Reds moved into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night with a 5-1 hammering of West Ham United but after the game Klopp challenged the fans at the ground to service the team with a louder atmosphere after complaining about the reaction of a small number of match-goers to a chance in the first half that was not converted.
"It was a long time ago now, but I have to say I was not overly happy with the atmosphere behind me. I asked people what do they want?" said Klopp at the time before urging anyone not on top form for Saturday evening's visit from Arsenal to give their ticket to someone else.

The Reds manager played down the comments in his Friday press conference insisting he loves being at Anfield, particularly for the big games such as Saturday's showdown with the top-of-the-table Gunners.
"Maybe I have to tell our people I don’t order atmospheres," Klopp said. "We had two home games in a row and 62 finishes (shots on goal), I think. That is pretty special I would say.
"That is what football is all about, imagine if we had scored them all, that would have been ridiculous and will never happen, so we create a chance and miss, we will have these moments.
"In our very best times, I am pretty sure it is not about 'Klopp is right'. It is my feeling directly after a game and when I turned around and we missed a chance and people were sitting flat and I think what actually do you want?
