Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Kostas Tsimikas has suffered a broken collarbone.
Tsimikas was sent flying into the Liverpool manager during the first half of the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Arsenal following a barge from Bakayo Saka and the left-back is now set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
With Andy Robertson still sidelined after undergoing surgery on a dislocated shoulder back in October, and not expected to be available for selection until January at the earliest, Klopp admitted the latest injury setback was "really bad" for his side.

“I was too close to really see what happened to be honest,” he told reporters. “The problem I had in that moment, I thought, ‘okay, I am fine’, so I was assuming that Kostas was fine as well and he’s actually obviously not fine.
“He’s broken his collarbone at least. It’s really bad for us. I cannot say anything about that (the challenge from Saka). You have to judge that, not me.”
However, there was better news about Luis Diaz. The forward limped off after taking a heavy blow to his knee following a collision with Saka, but Klopp revealed Liverpool do not fear the setback is too serious - even though it is likely to rule Diaz out against Burnley on Boxing Day.
“I hope not (a serious injury). He has pain. It was knee-on-knee,” he said. “In that moment we wanted to change twice but Lucho was down.
