Jurgen Klopp has again shared his excitement at his ‘Liverpool 2.0’ side after the Reds’ 5-1 victory over Toulouse on Thursday night.
The German made eight changes to his starting XI from the side that beat Everton on Saturday, with goals from Diogo Jota, Wataru Endo, Darwin Nunez, Ryan Gravenberch and Mohamed Salah clinched an emphatic win.
Pleased with his side’s performance, Klopp shared how Liverpool have successfully managed to rebuild both on and off the pitch following an £150m midfield overhaul and the summer departures of a number of senior players, including captain Jordan Henderson.

“I am very (satisfied), very. Result good, performance good,” he told reporters. “Especially a lot of really good individual performances, which is nice because it’s important for development.
“Besides the goal we conceded and the chance we gave them and Trent had this spectacular save, around that, everything what we expected.
“Toulouse is a good team, they play football and we put a proper shift in. That’s what I wanted. The goals we scored were wonderful, the right players scored the goals. All of them were really good and nothing to complain really.
“I think I said before, it is really easily to fall in love with this team because there is so much excitement in it. We have to make massive steps, we have to grow, we have to do a lot of things but a lot of signs are really promising.
