Kai Havertz shares one-word response to Arsenal North London Derby win vs Tottenham
Arsenal’s Kai Havertz has given his response to a huge win over North London rivals Tottenham after he scored what turned out to be the winning goal.
The Gunners went into the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium knowing that a win would take them four points clear of Manchester City ahead of their game away at Nottingham Forest. It took Mikel Arteta’s side just 15 minutes to open the scoring when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg put the ball into his own net from an Arsenal corner.
Spurs did think they were level just 10 minutes later, but VAR ruled that Micky Van de Ven was offside before he scored. Just two minutes later, Arsenal were 2-0 up when Bukayo Saka finished off a swift counter attack.
It got even better for Arsenal before the half time break when Havertz made it 3-0 from a corner. It was the German’s 12thPremier League goal this season.
Things did get nervy for the Gunners in the second half as Tottenham staged a comeback through goals from Cristian Romero and a Son Heung-min penalty, but Arsenal were able to hang on to pick up a huge three points. The win was celebrated by players and fans in the away end, with Havertz taking to social media to give a simple response.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Arsenal man shared a video that has been generated to make it look like he is walking out on stage in front of a huge crowd and celebrating with them. Alongside the video, Havertz simply wrote: “Mood.”
Arsenal’s lead at the top of the league was cut back from four to one again a couple of hours later, thanks to Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
