A fire chief has said everyone involved in a car crash in Germany which led to three of Harry Kane's children to be rushed to hospital were 'very lucky' not to be seriously injured - as he revealed the shocking damage sustained in the collision.
The England captain's children Louis, three, Vivienne, five, and Ivy, seven, were all travelling in a Mercedes van when it collided with a Renault near Schäftlarn in Munich - near where he plays for Bayern Munich - on Monday afternoon.
They were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for a check-up and did not sustain any serious injuries. Kane's wife Kate and fourth child, Henry, who was born in August, are not believed to have been in the van.
A spokesperson for Kane has said his family are 'fine', following the crash - and police have said all involved suffered 'minor injuries'.
Hohenschäftlarn Volunteer Fire Department chief Daniel Buck told BBC News that all of the cars 'had a lot of damage' and the first thing they saw 'was a lot of injured people from all the cars'.
He said there was good news as 'nobody had really strong injuries, more minor injuries' such as neck pain which is often the result of a car crash.
'Thank God nobody was really injured,' he added. 'It was really lucky for all the people.'
The incident is understood to have taken place in Bavaria as the 30-year-old striker flew to London with Bayern Munich ahead of their Champions League clash against Arsenal.
The crash occurred at 5.15pm on Monday, when the car collided with the oncoming van the children were in, as it tried to turn onto the motorway slip road, German media Bild reports.
'There was a crash, but the kids are fine, and none were injured,' a spokesperson for Kane told Mail Sport.
'No injuries at all.
